Budget Cuts

These three motions were made, seconded and passed unanimously at the PTSA meeting held on October 22, 2007.

A motion that the CVHS PTSA supports that CUSD prioritize funding a performing arts facility at CVHS as a matter of priority to ensure equal educational opportunities to all CUSD students. The CVHS PTSA authorizes the president or her representative to speak and represent the association on this matter on behalf of the association.

A motion that the CVHS PTSA supports that future staffing allocation in CUSD schools be based upon actual enrollment, not prior year ADA averages. It is further noted that the CVHS PTSA motion supports the California state PTA Resolution on class size reduction adopted in April, 1996. The association authorizes the president or her representative to speak and represent the association on this matter on behalf of the association.

A motion that the CVHS PTSA supports implementation of the EPA’s Tools for School’s program and follows those recommendations to insure a healthy environment for all stakeholders. The association authorizes the president or her representative to speak and represent the association on this matter on behalf of the association.
